Attorney Theodore J. "T. J." Perlick-Molinari protects the rights of the falsely accused, and has committed himself to the defense of people charged with criminal and drunk driving offenses.

T.J. received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in New York, as a history major, where he was named to the Dean’s List five times. He received his Juris Doctor from Marquette University in 2005, where he was Magister (President) of the legal service fraternity Phi Delta Phi, an organization dedicated to promoting the ethical practice of the law. In 2009, he was elected by his peers to serve on the State Bar of Wisconsin Board of Governors.

In two years of solo practice, T.J. earned the admiration and respect of both his clients and other Wisconsin attorneys with his aggressive, clever defense strategies. He joined Birdsall Law Offices in 2007.

T.J.'s winning trial record and respect from his peers reflects his personal commitment to every case. He has spent countless hours researching standardized field sobriety tests, the operation of breath machines, and the process of blood testing. He regularly attends seminars and continuing education programs to stay one step ahead of the prosecution on issues such as changes in case law, scientific evidence collection, and police protocol and procedure.

The majority of T.J.’s cases have involved Wisconsin drunk driving (OWI) offenses and serious criminal felony charges. As part of his commitment to representing the indigent and ensuring equal justice for all, he takes a number of public appointments. T.J. stands by the motto, "Those who do not value justice for all, do not value justice for anyone."

T.J. is a Governor of the State Bar of Wisconsin, and a member of the National College of DUI Defense (NCDD), National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys (NACDL), and the Milwaukee Bar Association. As a member of Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys (WACDL), he sits on the OWI Legislative Committee. He is admitted to practice in the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and all courts in the State of Wisconsin.

In July 2009, T.J. was named one of 20 ‘Up and Coming Lawyers' by the Wisconsin Law Journal for his efforts to ensure justice for defendants in OWI and felony cases, as well as for his work with the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Legislative Committee to address proposed changes to the state’s OWI laws. T.J. was also recently chosen to be a columnist for the Wisconsin Law Journal.

Outside the courtroom, he is an active member at North Shore Congregational Church, serving as a volunteer on the Stewardship Committee. He advocates for the arts in Milwaukee and actively participates in local bands and orchestras. T.J. is also multi-sport athlete and member at the Milwaukee Athletic Club, where he serves on the Athletics Committee.
