The Litigation Department of Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP consists of experienced litigators who have represented corporate clients with a variety of complex litigation matters. We regularly defend major industries including pharmaceutical and automotive manufacturers, financial institutions and consumer goods companies with claims involving alleged product defect, contract disputes, mass litigation and other matters. We have extensive experience defending drug manufacturers and distributors in several venues against claims for injuries allegedly caused by over-the-counter medications. We have litigated genetic seed allegations, welding rod allegations, a variety of pharmaceutical defense matters, broker disputes, securities fraud issues and other complex commercial matters.

Joseph M. Fasi, II received a B.A. from Marquette University and an M.A., with honors, from Seattle University. Mr. Fasi received a J.D. from Stetson University, where he was the Notes and Comments Editor for the Stetson Law Review and a member of the National Mock Trial Team. He is board certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Fasi has been lead counsel in over 70 jury and bench trials in Wisconsin, Florida, and Federal Courts with numerous defense verdicts.

His practice includes professional malpractice, medical product liability and pharmaceutical defense, defense of nursing homes and assisted living, medical malpractice defense, food contamination issues, transportation law, civil litigation, and sports and entertainment law. Mr. Fasi serves as general counsel for several corporations and insurance companies throughout the Midwest, and he was appointed national counsel by a major insurance carrier. He is a frequent lecturer and author on legal issues and trial techniques.

Mr. Fasi’s professional memberships include the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (2007, 2008 Vice Chair of the Drug, Device, and Biotechnology Section; 2008 Vice Chair of the Diversity Initiative Committee; and 2008 Vice Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section), DRI (2001-2004 Board of Directors), National Foundation for Judicial Excellence, and Civil Trial Counsel of Wisconsin.
